When to Repair vs. Replace Your Salt System
Not every salt system problem requires a full cell or chlorinator replacement. A flow sensor throwing error codes, a leaking union, or a damaged cell housing are all relatively inexpensive fixes that can add years to your existing equipment. It's worth diagnosing the specific component before assuming the whole system needs to go.
That said, if your cell is over 5 years old and showing reduced output even after cleaning, or your control board is failing, repair costs can add up quickly. In those cases, a full replacement often makes more financial sense. EZ Pools can help you identify the right parts for your system or point you toward a replacement if that's the better path.
