U.S. Seal PS-3890 Pump Shaft Seal Assembly
Replacement mechanical shaft seal assembly for select Hayward NorthStar and TriStar pumps; also crosses to Jandy R0479400 used on Stealth SHPF/SHPM models and Hayward SPX3200SA. It stops leaks by running a carbon face against a ceramic seat to seal the motor shaft. Built with a Buna-N elastomer, stainless spring, and unitized Type G bellows; install the ceramic in the seal plate with the polished face outward and keep both faces clean.
