Target CYA range: 30–50 ppm for standard chlorinated pools; 60–80 ppm for saltwater chlorine generator systems. Dosage: approximately 1 lb per 4,000 gallons raises CYA by 30 ppm. Add through the skimmer with the pump running; allow 24–48 hours to fully circulate before retesting. Maintain pH between 7.2–7.6 for optimal chlorine efficiency. Do not backwash for at least one week after adding to allow full dissolution.
