PoolFix Phosphate Remover – Liquid Phosphate Remover for Pools & Spas (1 Quart)
PoolFix Phosphate Remover is a professional-grade liquid phosphate remover formulated to eliminate all known types of phosphates from pool water on contact. Phosphates are one of the primary fuel sources for algae growth — chlorine cannot remove them, and even a well-sanitized pool with elevated phosphate levels will struggle with persistent algae, increased chlorine demand, and chronic water clarity issues. PoolFix Phosphate Remover reacts with phosphates immediately upon addition, converting them into an inert fine precipitate that falls out of solution and can be vacuumed or filtered out. A small, controlled dose is all it takes to make a measurable difference.
- ✔ Reacts with all known phosphate types on contact — targets orthophosphates and other phosphate compounds, converting them to an inert solid precipitate that is easily removed by vacuuming or filtration
- ✔ Eliminates algae's primary food source — reducing phosphate levels below 500 ppb starves algae of the nutrients it needs to thrive, lowering chlorine demand and improving overall water quality
- ✔ Concentrated liquid formula — a little goes a long way; apply around the pool perimeter or broadcast via spray bottle for even distribution and controlled cloudiness
- ✔ Compatible with all sanitizer systems — works alongside chlorine, salt chlorine generators, and all standard pool chemical programs without interference
- ✔ Safe for all pool surface types — suitable for plaster, vinyl liner, fiberglass, and aggregate finishes; above-ground and in-ground applications
- ✔ Temporary cloudiness indicates performance — white clouding upon application confirms the product is actively reacting with phosphates; typically clears within a few hours to two days
Dosage: add up to 16 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons per treatment; do not exceed recommended dose in a single application to avoid excess filter pressure. Apply directly to pool water with circulation running; broadcast around the perimeter or use a spray bottle for even distribution. Backwash or clean filter 24–48 hours after treatment to remove precipitate. Repeat treatments as needed until phosphate levels are below 500 ppb. Note: high doses with D.E. filters require a follow-up filter cleaning to prevent grid damage from precipitate buildup. Do not freeze; store in a cool, climate-controlled area.
