Before You Begin — Balance Your Water First
Verify and adjust water chemistry to these ranges before adding tablets:
- pH: 7.2 – 7.6
- Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer): 40 – 50 ppm (minimum 30)
- Total Alkalinity: 80 – 125 ppm (plaster) · 125 – 150 ppm (vinyl/fiberglass)
- Calcium Hardness: 200 – 275 ppm (plaster) · 175 – 225 ppm (vinyl/fiberglass)
Dosing & Usage Instructions
- Target: Maintain free available chlorine at 1 – 4 ppm at all times.
- Dosage: Approximately 1 lb per 10,000 gallons per week (or 1 – 2 oz per 10,000 gallons daily).
- Application: Automatic chlorinator (best), floater, or plastic skimmer basket — skimmer only if your pump runs 24 hours per day.
- Test water 2 – 3 times per week and adjust tablet usage to stay in range.
- Stabilized tablets add CYA over time — monitor levels and keep CYA below 80 – 100 ppm to maintain chlorine effectiveness.
Safety Information
- STRONG OXIDIZER: Contact with other materials may cause fire or explosion. Never mix with other chemicals, including acids, ammonia, calcium hypochlorite, or combustibles.
- Keep out of reach of children. Harmful if swallowed; causes eye and skin irritation. If swallowed or eye contact occurs, call Poison Control: 877-800-5553.
- Avoid breathing dust. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling.
- Skimmer restriction: Do not dose via skimmer unless the pump runs 24/7 — concentrated chlorine can accumulate and release a dangerous gas cloud on restart.
- Store cool, dry, and tightly closed, away from heat and sunlight.
- It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
